The Center for Arts & Technologies at SNU (CATSNU) is an institute that focuses on creating and developing cutting-edge artistic content through the integration of art and science.
Our aim is to provide a creative research environment centered on education and research, and we are constantly exploring new artistic fields.
"The Center for Arts & Technologies has successfully completed the Content Industry Technology Support Project of the Korea Creative Content Agency. This project involved digitalizing Korean musical instrument sound sources and developing mobile apps, resulting in the creation of 21 virtual Korean musical instruments, mobile apps, and Korean musical performance phonograms. These developments have significantly contributed to the modernization of Korean music."
In particular, we signed a research cooperation agreement with Incheon City to develop musical instrument-playing robots and performance contents. We are actively conducting research on musical instrument-playing robots utilizing advanced AI technology at the Incheon Robot R&D Center.
