Conductor YunSung Chang
 
장윤성(張允聖)사진He studied piano and composition at the Seoul high school of Music and Arts and Seoul National University.
At that time he won chamber music competition in the part of duo piano at the Seoul high school of music and he also won many competition for young composer in Korea.
To passing the audition for assistant conductor of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra has given to him many chance to study and conducting orchestra.
He debuted as professional conductor with ARS Chamber Orchestra in Seoul which he founded at the age of 21 and which was directed by him
for 8 years.
 
After leaving Seoul he studied at the Hochschule of Music in Vienna with
Leopold Hager and at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Russia with Ilya Musin and at the summer school of the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Michael Gielen and at the summer school of Siena, Italy with Valery
Gergiev.
 
His debut as an international conductor came after receiving an award at
the 1st Prokofiev International Competition for Conducting in 1993 in St. Petersburg.
Since then he has been invited to conduct with the
St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (Maestro Yuri Temirkanov),
Kirov Opera (Maestro Valery Gergiev), St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra
He led the greatly successful Korean tour of the Kirov Opera Orchestra and Camerata St. Petersburg.
 
In 1997 he also won the Tokyo International
Competition for Conducting in 1997in Japan.
Since then he has been invited by
Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo City Symphony, Osaka Philharmonic, Osaka College Opera Ochestra.
 
Presently he is conducting in Korea, Russia, Japan and Europe, e.g.
Nürnberg Symphony Orchestra, Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra in Chemnitz Germany, Vienna Concertverein (Vienna Symphony Orchestra), Klagenfurt Symphony Orchestra, Roma Symphony Orchestra, Prag Symphony Orchestra, Prag Radio Symphony Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra,
Belgrade Symphony Orchestra.
 
He worked as Principal guest conductor of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra as Chief conductor of Seoul Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulsan City Symphony Orchestra, Changwon City Symphony Orchestra, Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea and Osaka College Opera House Orchestra in Japan.
 
He has successful concert tour with KBS Symphony Orchestra to Tokyo and Japan in 2007, with Nürnberg Symphony Orchestra to 4 German Cities in 2012 (Nürnberg, Velbert, Witten, Coesfeld)
 
Performing A. Schoenberg`s "Gurrelieder" with Changwon City Symphony Orchestra, The 1st Korean Performance , was most of the great success.
 
He recorded 2CDs with Lituanian Chamber (Baltic Festival Orchestra) and Vienna Concertverein (CAMERATA)
