Gyoo-Dong Kim studied composition (B.A and M.M) at Seoul National University.
His further study includes at Staatlich Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Heidelberg- Mannheim.
His works have been performed in many countries such as Korea, Germany, Russia and China.
In 2002, he won the 21st Korean Composer's Award for 《 Father's Song 》 for chamber music.
《 Soto Voce II für Streichquartet 》was performed at the 2003 ISCM World Music Days Festival.
Major works include 《 Moebius 》series (1996-2003), 《 Soto Voce 》series (1997-2011),
There are 《 Parting 》(2006), clarinet concerto《 Terra Incognita 》(2011) for orchestral music,
and《 A.chromatic Circle 》(2013) for orchestral music.
Since 2017, he has been presenting various works through his personal Recital, including《 the Impression 》series.
