Founded in 1945, the College of Music at SNU has produced innumerable instrumentalists, singers, musicologists, and composers. Most of leading artists in different areas of music in Korea have been, and are from this institution. Moreover plenty of them have reached the top classes in music, also all around the world.

We proudly present our college as the best and most experienced music department in the country, uniquely positioned as a top ranked music program at a top rated university.

Based on a prominent place we have occupied from the past until now, however,  we will still continue our many efforts to make the college¡¯s educational and research programs ever stronger and more meaningful, as an internationally renowned center of musical teaching and research. We are called upon to be leaders, and to do our very best. Our students and faculty are pursuing their most ambitious goals and will achieve their grandest visions.
